Sameer is conversing with Manik & Madan Deshmukh who are a very dynamic couple in the Marathi community in Melbourne, Australia. They organize musical events in Melbourne to raise funds for various charities in Maharashtra, India.
Since 2017, they have raised thousands of dollars each year to donate Flour mills, school benches, pick-up trucks, sewing machines, and more to help empower charities in India to create greater impact.
Madan Deshmukh has founded a cricket club in Melbourne for more than a decade now and has contributed to the cricket association in various capacities as player, umpire and committee member. Australian cricket Merv Hughes has recognized Madan's contribution to cricket in Australia and has started the Deshmukh Shield to honor him.
